United Kingdom: 20% of Gaydar Dating Site Users Plan to Be Civilly Partnered in Next Year |
A poll released by Gaydar today says a fifth of its users are planning to become someone's civil partner in the next year. Gaydar took the views of 5,047 men who logged into the gay dating site and answered its poll last month.
It has said the figure can be extrapolated to the UK population at large, but the unusually high proportion of engagements among users of the dating site has been open to other interpretations.
Of the soon-to-be civilly partnered Gaydar users who took part, 60 percent said they would wear an engagement ring, presumably consistently. 45 percent said they would like a religious ceremony and 48 percent said they intended to walk up an aisle at their civil partnership.
