Help Air Australian "It's Time" Marriage Equality Ad in the US
I'm emailing you as part of a new start-up called Social Teeth, in the hope that you can help us spread the word about an innovative marriage equality ad campaign. Social Teeth is a crowdfunding platform created to turn grassroots ads and PSAs into big, national mass media movements. Think of it as a loudspeaker for ordinary people.
Social Teeth just received its first round of submissions, and one of the ads up for funding is "It's Time," which brilliantly advocates for marriage equality. It's by the team at GetUp! Australia, and has already received nearly 6,000,000 views on YouTube since its release in October 2011. (That might mean you've seen it, but if not, take a look. It's beautiful.)
"It's Time" has been broadcast in Australia, but not in the U.S. - something we can make happen. If "It's Time" gets $50,000 in pledges, our partner - Aegis, a global media buying firm - will use the money to purchase ad spots where the masses will definitely see it - on major networks in battleground states and on high-traffic video sites (more details on the media strategy can be found here).
