Kauai Home, Condo Sales Increased in August |

 Single-family home prices on Kauai inched up nearly 3 percent in August, while the median price of a condominium jumped nearly 20 percent, according to statistics from Hawaii Information Service.
The median price of a single-family home on the Garden Isle in August was $460,000, compared to $447,500 in August 2011 -- a rise of 2.8 percent. That was based on the sale of 25 homes, which was nearly 22 percent fewer than the 32 sales in August 2011.
The median price of a Kauai condo last month was $312,000, which was 19.2 percent higher than the median price in August 2011, which was $262,000.
