WA: State Could See Increase in Gay Tourism if Marriage Equality Passed |

Louise Chernin, president of the Greater Seattle Business Association, the largest gay, lesbian bisexual and transgender chamber of commerce in the U.S., said, "I think we don't even know what the ripple effect will be to economically enhance this city and state.
"GSBA started 'Travel Gay Seattle, where out is in' initiative. We are working with the convention and visitors bureau. We've been working for the last year and a half , encouraging people to visit our beautiful state; this will be one more attraction."
Chernin said that becoming a state that recognizes same-sex marriages would have huge economic effects. "How many people will choose to have celebrations -- our florists, hotels, caterers, attorneys?" she asked.
