Gay Travel: Mac Users Shown More Expensive Hotels on Orbitz |

Orbitz Worldwide is it hot water by some for showing Mac users higher-priced hotels as compared to Windows visitors. It's not that Mac users aren't able to get the same deal that Windows users are using, it's just that Orbitz is putting more expensively priced hotels in their featured section. The Wall Street Journal discusses how we'll be seeing target marketing more and more in the future:
The sort of targeting undertaken by Orbitz is likely to become more commonplace as online retailers scramble to identify new ways in which people's browsing data can be used to boost online sales. Orbitz lost $37 million in 2011 and its stock has fallen by more than 74% since its 2007 IPO.
