Third Poll in a Week Shows More Than 50% Support for Marriage Equality in Washington State |

 A pair of measures on Washington's November ballot that have stirred strong emotions -- marijuana legalization and same-sex marriage -- are leading and edging into the key 50 percent range of support, according to the new statewide Elway Poll.

Referendum 74, approving same-sex marriage, is ahead 52-40 percent with 8 percent undecided. Its lead has edged up from 49-39 percent in July. The measure would ratify legislation, passed last February and signed by Gov. Chris Gregoire, making Washington the seventh state to legalize marriage equality.
