Bi-National Gay Couple Exiled By DOMA Asks for Help
Got this from one of our twitter followers, @GreenIssac - see the full page at http://www.indiegogo.com/loveisloveislove:

Brian and Gavern were married almost 10 years ago. They are a commited loving couple who lived in Seattle for the majority of their marriage. They both were active members of their community and involved with teaching, artistic ventures, music, and worked as Apple IT Specialistis and Trainers.

Brian is an American born Citizen, Gavern was originally from South Africa, attended school in Canada and went back to Seattle when him and Brian were married. However disaster struck in August 2009 when a discriminatory law called "DOMA" (The Defense of Marriage ACT) threatened to tear them apart because Brian and Gavern's relationship and marriage was not recognized by Federal Immigration Law, hence making it unable for Brian to solidify his spouses status in the US just as any other heterosexual couple could have done.

After a long and painful 3 year continual legal battle, they were forced out of the United States solely because a law called DOMA stood in the way, in the process and expense of trying to defend their right to be together they ended up losing their home, their family ties, their pets and their IT Careers at Apple Computer Inc. They sought temporary Exile in Ireland with abosultely nothing except a small amount of Apple Stocks almost 2 years ago.
