POP CULTURE: GLAAD's Sarah Kate Ellis, Empire's Sanaa Hamri, Transparent's Alexandra Billings, the Prancing Elites, and more discuss how to improve inclusivity in LGBT media. full story

AUSTRALIA: MARRIAGE equality activists have labelled Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull a "puppet of the right wing conservatives in his party" and plan to host a march to his electorate office with a group of influential leaders to voice their support for the issue. full story

UK, WALES: The Church in Wales has decided not to proceed with proposals to allow gay marriages in its churches. full story

USA: As part of a wildly unfunny bit that recently aired on 'The O'Reilly Factor,' grimly smug Fox New journo Jesse Watters insinuated himself at a DC protest hoping to eradicate the influence of highly wealthy donors, and made fun of a bi protester. full story

USA: Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia have debated religious discrimination bills this year. full story

USA, CALIFORNIA: A state bill that would make single-stall restrooms throughout California gender neutral advanced out of committee Tuesday morning. A similar gender-neutral bathroom law was unanimously passed by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors Tuesday. full story

USA, FLORIDA: Lambda Legal filed a motion seeking class action status in its federal lawsuit on behalf Hal Birchfield and Paul Mocko, two gay widowers. The motion for class certification would extend the scope of those represented in the lawsuit to all same-sex spouses whose marriages Florida unconstitutionally disregarded at the time of their spouses' deaths and who wish to obtain accurate death certificates. full story

USA, GEORGIA: A few hundred opponents of Georgia's "religious liberty" bill gathered Tuesday at the state Capitol to celebrate Gov. Nathan Deal's veto last week of the controversial legislation. full story

USA, ILLINOIS: An Illinois couple who refused to host a gay civil union ceremony at their idyllic bed and breakfast five years ago was defiant Tuesday after being ordered to pay an $80,000 fine and hold a celebration for the pair. full story

USA, MISSISSIPPI: Tuesday morning, Gov. Phil Bryant (R) signed HB 1523 into law, endorsing a veritable catalog of discrimination against LGBT people and even those who have sex before marriage. full story

USA, MISSISSIPPI: Gay New York Assemblyman Daniel O'Donnell urged New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to extend the state's official travel ban on North Carolina to Mississippi. full story

USA, MISSISSIPPI: New York state has banned non-essential state-funded travel to Mississippi after that state's governor signed a law allowing religious groups and some businesses to refuse service to gay couples. full story

USA, MISSISSIPPI: Upon news that Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant has signed the discriminatory House Bill 1523 into law, DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz issued a statement denouncing the law. full story

USA, MISSISSIPPI: A humanitarian nonprofit has mocked Mississippi's latest anti-LGBT legislation with a hilarious billboard. The sign, installed in Jackson, depicts an appalled Jesus saying: 'Guys, I said I hate figs and to love thy neighbor'. full story

USA, NEW YORK: A transgender New York man has alleged that he was humiliated over a period of six months by co-workers who referred to him as "she, her, or it," and is now suing the company. full story

USA, NORTH CAROLINA: This morning, April 5, Paypal, a global company dedicated to facilitating online payments, announced that it is withdrawing plans to open a new global operations center in Charlotte. full story

USA, NORTH CAROLINA: Gov. Peter Shumlin has invited PayPal to locate a planned expansion that would create 400 jobs in Vermont after the company announced it would cancel prior expansion plans in North Carolina over disagreements with that state's anti-LGBT law. full story

USA, NORTH CAROLINA: Red Ventures is also considering pulling out of their 500 person expansion in 2016 after HB2 was passed. full story

USA, NORTH CAROLINA: Anti-gay activist Mark Creech of the Christian Action League, who once declared that gay marriage is "an attempted gang rape of our culture," is organizing a show of support for North Carolina's recently passed anti-LGBT law. full story

USA, NORTH CAROLINA: City council members voted 8-1 Tuesday in favor of a resolution opposing House Bill 2. HB2, or the Public Facilities Privacy & Security Act, is a new state law which says transgender individuals must use the bathroom that corresponds with the sex listed on their birth certificate. Council members called the bill an "overreach" by the state. full story

USA, NORTH CAROLINA: High Point Market Week event CEO Bob Maricich issued a statement which slams the "appalling" law and declares that any anger directed towards them is "misplaced." full story

USA, WASHINGTON DC: A D.C. Superior Court judge on March 18 handed down a sentence of 12 months' probation for a transgender woman arrested last November for repeatedly firing a gun on the roof of a downtown office building that led to a 10-hour standoff with D.C. police. full story

USA, WISCONSIN: On Monday night, Rachel Maddow took a look at Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Rebecca Bradley, who today is up for reelection in the Badger State. full story

USA, WISCONSIN: Hillary Clinton waded into local politics during her visit to Wisconsin, criticizing Rebecca Bradley, a state Supreme Court candidate whose college writings two decades ago slammed gays, abortion rights, and even Clinton's husband former president Bill Clinton. full story

USA, WISCONSIN: Bradley was elected to a 10-year seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court last night, in a decisive victory over state Appeals Judge JoAnne Cloppenburg. full story
